Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar today said in the Legislative Assembly that the state receives inputs about terror threats from the Centre from time to time.

"Inputs have been received from the Central Intelligence from time to time about possible terror attacks," he said in a written reply to a question by independent MLA Rohan Khaunte.

"But the details could not be given in the interest of the nation," he said.

Goa Anti-Terrorism Squad and security agencies maintain vigil to identify security suspects or dangerous elements to thwart terror attacks or attempts to disturb the peace and tranquillity in the state, Parsekar said.

The inputs received from the Centre are shared with Special Branch centres, police stations, coastal security police stations and ATS with specific direction to keep a sharp watch and collect intelligence in respect of all suspicious elements, the Chief Minister added.
