NCP President Sharad Pawar on Monday said the Centre should have zero tolerance towards terrorism and exhorted the NDA government to act against the perpetrators of the Uri attack that left 18 soldiers dead.
He said that apart from terrorism, the government's top priority should include promoting secularism and religious tolerance within the country.
"Paramount priorities of Nation: Zero Tolerance to Pak Sponsored or any kind of Terrorism & promoting Secularism & Religious Tolerance within Government Must Act Now!" Pawar, a former Defence Minister, tweeted.
In the worst attack on the Army since 2002, heavily armed militants, suspected to be from Pakistan-based JeM, on Sunday stormed an army base in Baramulla district's Uri in Kashmir killing 18 jawans.
