Gujarat budget session to begin from Feb 20

Session which ends on Feb 26 will being with address of governor followed by discussion on its in house

The Gujarat government has scheduled its assembly session from February 20 to decide on the vote on account budget for the first quarter of 2014-15.

In wake of the Lok Sabha elections this year the state government had decided to have a week long session of state assembly instead of the usual month long session.

The session which ends on February 26 will being with the address of the governor followed by discussion on its in the house.

On February 21 the state government will present the revised estimates for the financial year 2013-14 in the house. On the same day the state government also proposes to table the budget for the first four months of year 2014-15 in assembly.
 
Besides this all the other work of the house will be under taken which includes question hour, discussion on government policies, introduction of government bills and private bills by members of the house.
