Government will install hi-tech security apparatus along India-Pakistan border to check infiltration from across the border, Lok Sabha was informed on Monday.

In response to a question, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said government has decided to deploy technological solutions on a pilot basis in the form of Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS) in various difficult terrains on Indo-Pakistan border.

"Amongst others, this inter alia includes Electro-Optic Sensors (high resolution cameras), Radars and other devices," the Minister said.

Singh said norms for border management and deployment of forces and technology are considered at appropriate times.

"It would not be in interest of national security to disclose the details," he said.
