High configuration computer in Chhattisgarh's free distribution scheme

Chhattisgarh government would supply a high configuration laptop and tablet to the students under the scheme it had launched in the state.

The Raman Singh government had launched Chhattisgarh Yuva Soochna Kranti Yojana State to distribute free laptops and computer tablets to 100,000 students every year.

Final year students of medical and engineering colleges would be provided laptops free of cost while the final year students of science, arts and commerce based graduation and post graduation courses would get free computer tablets.

The machines that the state government had been supplying were of Pentium dual core processor configuration. The state government has now decided to supply the laptops and tablets that have higher configuration. The move was necessitated to make the computers ran faster with greater speed that would ultimately help the users.
 
"The state government had decided to provide the laptops and tablets that have quad-core processor," a state government spokesperson said.
