High Court to hear ED's plea to scrap Robert Vadra's anticipatory bail

The Delhi High Court will Monday Enforcement Directorate's plea to cancel the anticipatory bail granted to Robert Vadra, a businessman and the brother-in-law of Congress president Rahul Gandhi, in a money-laundering case.

The plea, which was filed on May 24, is listed for hearing before Justice Chander Shekhar.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sought quashing of the trial court's April 1 order by which Vadra was granted anticipatory bail, saying the special judge had failed to consider the settled position of law that bail should not be "granted in a routine manner".
