Hindu College, Delhi, has been voted India's Most Trusted Educational Institute in a study by TRA (formerly Trust Research Advisory), a brand analytics and insights company. The study, titled 'India's Most Trusted Educational Institutes - 2014-'15' (MTEI) was conducted among 7,710 respondents across 40 cities.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi was ranked second followed by Loyola College, Chennai in the third position. Anna University, Chennai was ranked fourth in the Most Trusted list and Hansraj College, Delhi, was ranked as the fifth most Trusted.

N Chandramouli, CEO, TRA, commented on the importance of education and said, "There is no research that provides a universal metric for comparing different institutes - schools, college, university, coaching classes among others. It is this acute awareness that led us to map the entire education sector topography, hoping to give the students and their parents a universal basis of information and choice in the choice of institute."

Based on TRA's proprietary 61-Attribute Trust Matrix, India's Most Trusted Educational Institutes - 2014-'15 is India's largest and most comprehensive study conducted. For the MTEI research each of the respondents (comprising of students, parents and faculty) were queried on over 700 questions, of which 582 were 'thinking' questions directly related to the educational institute itself.

The study yielded over seven million datapoints on various aspects of the institutes over 20,000 hours of fieldwork. The MTEI report lists India's 1,000 Most Trusted Educational Institutes, India's top 200 institutes on Academic Parameters and 120 of India's Most Preferred Courses. The report is an important guide for anyone making a decision with regard to an educational institute and is available in all major bookstores. The report is priced at Rs 2,400.
