Hyderabad airport to offer 'visa on arrival' facility

The facility will be available to visitors from 11 countries effective May 31

The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad, run by GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL), will be offering 'visa on arrival' to visitors from 11 countries effective May 31.

The Union government had introduced Indian tourist visa on arrival scheme on January 1, 2010, at certain airports, initiated for citizens of five countries. Subsequently, a year later, it was included to 11 countries.

The tourist visa-on-arrival with a maximum validity of 30 days with single entry facility will be granted by the immigration officers at RGIA to the citizens of Finland, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar and Indonesia, GHIAL said in a release on Wednesday.
