The Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh government is hosting the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) on sustainable tourism development and the joint meeting of the UNWTO commissions for East Asia, Pacific and South Asia in Hyderabad from April 12-14.
India is currently the chairperson of the UNWTO regional commission for South Asia and is expected to co-chair the proposed meeting with Malaysia.
Giving the details of the event here on Monday, Minister of State for Tourism K Chiranjeevi said the conference as well as the joint meeting of the regional commissions of UNWTO would be utilised in full measure to showcase India and Andhra Pradesh as unique tourist destinations.

Close to 200 delegates from 29 countries besides observers and tourism operators from over 150 countries are expected to participate in this four-day event.
