ICAI's National Cost Convention in Bhubaneswar

The 55th National Cost Convention of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) will be held in Bhubaneswar on February 23-24.

The convention will be organized by S N Patro, minister for revenue & disaster management. The theme of the convention is 'Nation Building Through Cost Competitiveness and Responsible Governance'.

The topics to be included are cost competitiveness for inclusive growth, transition from regulatory to affirmative corporate action, response to emerging challenges and opportunities, energizing MSMEs (micro, small & medium enterprises) for sustained economic development, tax and expenditure management and service sector as a key enabler for sustainable growth.
 
The convention is expected to be attended by over 1000 delegates including industry leaders and practicing professionals all over the country.

"ICAI is actively collaborating with the government, industry and academic institutes to undertake studies, research and planning to issue industry specific guidance notes on risk management, performance management, internal audit, cost and management accounting”, S C Mohanty, president, ICAI said in a release.
