Amid tensions between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of the February 14 Pulwama terror attack, which claimed the lives of over 40 Central Reserve Police Forec (CRPF) personnel, the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Tuesday carried our air strikes on a major terrorist camp in Pakistan.

Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale, confirming the strike by IAF jets, said that the operation was carried out on credible intelligence received that JeM was attempting another suicide terror attack in various parts of the country and fidayeen jihadis were being trained for this purpose.
