On Tuesday, Nikki Haley, former US ambassador to the United Nations, announced that she will be running for president in the 2024 elections. She launched her US presidential campaign against her former boss Donald Trump.
"I'm Nikki Haley and I'm running for president," the 51-year-old former governor of South Carolina said in a video statement.
With this, Haley has joined a long list of Indian-origin leaders dominating politics at important world capitals.
