Internet mobile users in China surpass computer ones

According to China Daily, it was the first time that the number of internet mobile users had surpassed the ones using computers

The number of people who use mobile to surf internet in China has surpassed the number of people using computers to go on web, says an industry report by the China Internet Network Information Center.

The report also suggests that the number increased by 14.42 million. Now, 83.4% of internet users go online via mobile devices.

According to China Daily, it was the first time that the number of internet mobile users had surpassed the ones using computers.

The study also revealed that most of the internet users in China owned a smartphone that has also increased the usage of e-commerce and instant messaging applications.

 

According to reports, there is an increase of 63.4% in the number of users who use mobile phones to make payments.

Weibo and Wechat were the most popular instant messaging applications among users followed by Taobao and Jingdong online shopping applications, said a mobile Internet analyst.
