The Congressional resolution on Kashmir introduced by Pramila Jayapal is not a fair characterisation of the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said, asserting that he has no interest in meeting Indian-American Congresswoman and lawmakers who are neither objective nor open to discussion and have already made up their mind.

Jayapal, who was born in Chennai and is the first Indian-American women elected to the House of Representatives, earlier this month announced she will introduce a resolution on Kashmir.
