Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai with fever and dehydration, is taking a normal diet and has no fever now, the hospital management said.

Sixty-eight-year-old Jayalalithaa, who is the general secretary of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai.

She has no fever now and is taking normal diet. The Chief Minister is under observation, said Subbiah Viswanathan, Chief Operating Officer of the hospitals.

Meanwhile, the state ministers and hundreds of party men rushed to the hospital after hearing that their leader has been admitted there. While the hospital has already announced that the Chief Minister is in stable condition, her followers stayed in the premises with prayers for her health.
