JIPMER invites applications for 92 vacancies

Puducherry –based medical school, Jawahar Lal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) has invited applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of staff nurse, X-ray technician and physical instructor. Through this recruitment drive, JIPMER plans to fill up 92 vacancies. 

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in a written test conducted by this Institute. The last date to submit duly filled applications is August 16, 2016.

Eligibility criteria 
 

Indian nationals not over 30 years of age as on August 16, 2016 are eligible to apply for the following posts:

Candidates applying for staff nurse’s positions should have degree or diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery, or equivalent from a recognized University or Institution. They should be registered as Nurse and Midwife under Indian Nursing council Act 1947or any State Nursing Council. To apply for the X-ray technician (radio-diagnosis) posts, candidates need to be 10 +2 or equivalent with science subjects from a recognized board and B.Sc in Medical Radiation Technology (3 years course) or equivalent from a recognized University or Institute approved by AERB. The candidates should also have at least two years of experience in operating radio diagnosis or radiotherapy equipment in an established centre. Diploma-holders in Radiology (a two year course) or equivalent from a recognized Institution approved by AERB can also apply provided they have three years experience in operating radio diagnosis or radiotherapy equipment in an established centre. 

 

Candidates interested in applying for X-ray technician (radio-therapy) vacancies need to have completed 10 +2 or equivalent with science subjects from a recognized board and completed B.Sc in Radiotherapy Technology or Medical Technology (Radiotherapy), or Medical Radiation Technology (three years course) from a AERB approved recognized University or Institute with two year experience in Radiotherapy. Candidates with a two year PG diploma / diploma course in radiotherapy technology from a recognized University, which is AERB approved can apply if they have three years experience in radiotherapy. 

For physical instructor post, candidates applying need to have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board and have a degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) from a recognised University or its equivalent. Two years experience as physical instructor in a reputed Institute is preferred.

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply. After the duly-filled forms in the prescribed format along with certificates reach JIPMER office, the candidates will be able to download their admit cards for written examination.

Application process
 

An institute of national importance and tertiary care referral hospital, JIPMER is under direct administrative control of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of health and family welfare, Government of India. Interested candidates can apply to JIPMER Puducherry only through offline mode. 

The fees for General and OBC category candidates is Rs. 500 and for SC / ST category candidates is Rs. 250. Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates need not pay any fee. The application fee (non-refundable) has to be paid on form of demand draft (DD) in favour of The Director, JIPMER payable at State Bank of India, JIPMER Branch, Puducherry.

• Click on the Announcement tab, and Jobs tab thereafter 
 

• Check the notification Recruitment to the post of various Group B posts on Regular basis
 

• Download official notification and read the instructions carefully
 

• Neatly type or hand-write the prescribed Pro-forma on A4 size paper
 

• Include all personal and professional details in the application
 

Attach the DD
 

• Attach self-attested copies of:

1. Original education certificates
 

2. Caste certificate, if applicable
 

3. No Objection Certificate from the present employer, if employed in a State/Central Government/ Union Territory/Public

Sector Undertaking/Autonomous body
 

• Central Government servant seeking age relaxation would be required to produce a Certificate from his/her Employer on the Office letter head to the effect that he/she is a regularly appointed Central Government Servant and not on casual/adhoc/daily wages/hourly paid/contract basis employee. 
 

• Affix self attested recent passport size photograph in application 
 

• Recheck the application form to avoid mistake
