Dissident Trinamool Congress MP Kabir Suman on Thursday did not vote in the presidential elections saying he was not well and that he had been warned not to go or he might be heckled.
"Some of my well-wishers informed me over phone in the morning not to go to the Assembly House as I might be heckled by my partymen. I am also not well and so I did not go to vote," Suman said.
He claimed he had earlier agreed to vote for UPA presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee on instruction by party general secretary Mukul Roy.
Assistant Returning Officer (1) Jadavalal Chakraborty, however, said he had not received any complaint from any MP or MLA of being threatened.
