Kendriya Vidyalaya to recruit for 6025 vacancies

Online application for recruitment 2016 has begun from September 27, 2016, and last date to submit application form is October 17, 2016.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) (Link: www.kvsangathan.nic.in) is looking at recruiting 6025 teaching staff. The system of central government schools in India has invited online application for the recruitment of 6025 vacancies to the posts of Principal, Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), Primary Teacher (PRT) and Primary Teacher (Music).
 
Interested candidates have to apply online through the KVS website. The application procedure for Kendriya Vidyalaya (Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kendriya_Vidyalaya) has started from September 27, 2016 from 9:00 AM. Last date to submit application form is October 17, 2016 till 11:59 PM.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants are advised to read the eligibility criteria carefully before applying for the respective posts. Application form of those candidates who do not meet essential and desirable qualification will be rejected.

For the post of principle, KVS is looking at a candidate with Masters degree from a recognized university with at least 45 % marks in aggregate and B.Ed or equivalent teaching degree. The age limit is minimum 35 years and maximum 50 years, as on October 31, 2016. Candidate should hold analogous posts or post of principal in Central/State Government, autonomous organizations of Central or State Government, or Vice Principal or Assistant Education Officers, Post Graduate Teachers (PGTS) or Lecturer.
 
Candidates with two-year integrated postgraduate M.Sc. from regional college of education of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) NCERT in the concerned subject or Master’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50 % marks in aggregate in the following subjects can apply for the PGTs vacancies. The age limit is maximum 40 years, as on October 31, 2016. Eligible candidate have passed in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II, conducted by CBSE, and proficient in teaching in Hindi and English medium.
 
For the post of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), candidates should posses the professional qualification of B.Ed. as on the last date of application.  He/she should have at least 50% in required subject. The age limit is maximum 35 years, as on October 31, 2016. Candidates interested in applying for the post of Primary Teacher has to have a minimum senior secondary school certificate or Intermediate with 50% marks or equivalent.  The age limit is maximum 30 years, as on October 31, 2016.

Application process

Interested candidates can check the detail of exam pattern from the official notification. Applicants should read the instructions carefully before making any entry or selecting any option, while filling up the on-line application form. Candidates have to pay examination fee online. Post-wise examination fee payable is:

How to apply:
1.      Log on to KVS website at www.kvsangathan.nic.in or www.mecbsekvs.in
2.      Carefully fill in the complete details in online application form
3.      Scan and upload recent photograph, signature and thumb impression as per instruction
4.      Login id and password will be generated on successful submission of application and will be displayed on the screen
5.      Use the id and password and log in again
6.      Pay the examination fee
7.      Take a print out of the online application and affix a recent passport size photograph for future reference
 
Selected candidates will have to download the call letter from KVS website. They will be intimated about the same through e-mail and sms.
 
Selection process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written examination and interview. The written test for all post except for the post of Principal will be held across locations in 34 cities. The written test for Principal will be held at Delhi. Final merit list will be put up by KVS .
 
The weightage of written test and interview will be 85:15 for the post of Principal PGTs, TGTs and Primary Teacher. For the post of Primary Teacher (Music), the weightage if written test, performance test and interview will be 60:25:25.
