Komen to trigger heavy rainfall

The weathermen have sounded an alert at all the ports of the state and advised them to hoist Danger Signal Number Five

Coastal parts of the state are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours under the influence cyclonic storm Komen, formed over north-east of the Bay of Bengal.

"Rain and thundershower would occur at many places over Odisha. Heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over coastal Odisha and adjoining Mayurbhanj district would occur during next 24 hours. Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with isolated extremely heavy rainfall on July 31 and August 1, 2015", read the IMD bulletin. Met officials said, Komen today will make a land fall in Bangladesh. The weathermen have sounded an alert at all the ports of the state and advised them to hoist Danger Signal Number Five.
