China Evergrande to meet bondholders

China Evergrande Group said on Wednesday it will hold an online meeting with some yuan bondholders on January 7-10 to vote on proposals including one on delaying the redemption date of some bonds to July 8 from January 8, Reuters reported.

Rajnath to get probe report on IAF chopper crash

The Air Force is likely to apprise Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in the next couple of days about the findings of the tri-services probe into the December 8 chopper crash in which Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat and 13 others were killed, PTI reported Tuesday quoting sources. The probe team has completed its investigation of the crash and is finishing its report.

Maharashtra logs 18,466 new coronavirus cases Tue

Maharashtra on Tuesday reported 18,466 new coronavirus infections, up by 51 per cent compared to yesterday (12,160). Mumbai too recorded a surge of 10,860 infections (34 per cent higher than yesterday) with 89 per cent asymptomatic cases.

North Korea fires projectile toward sea

North Korea has fired an unidentified projectile into sea, South Korea's military said. The Joint Chiefs of Staff said North Korea has fired the projectile toward its eastern waters on Wednesday morning. It gave no further details, said the AP.
