COVID-19: Entry of public at Wagah border retreat ceremony suspended again

Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday again suspended the entry of public at the daily flag-lowering retreat ceremony along the India-Pakistan border in Attari because of rising COVID-19 cases, said a senior BSF officer.

The entry was resumed last November after being remained suspended for 20 months because of COVID-19.

Guj: 5 factory workers die after inhaling toxic chemical, many hospitalised

Five factory workers died and nearly 20 others fell unconscious after inhaling toxic fumes leaking from a chemical tanker parked near a factory in Gujarat's Surat district early Thursday morning, officials said.

The workers were inside the dyeing factory, located in Sachin industrial area, when the incident took place, Surat Municipal Corporation's in-charge chief fire officer Basant Pareek said.

The fire department received a call around 4.25 am, he said, adding that 25 to 26 workers fell unconscious after inhaling the toxic fumes coming out of the chemical tanker parked on a roadside near the factory.

Delhi HC stays SIAC arbitration in Amazon-Future case

Delhi High Court on Wednesday stayed the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) arbitration proceedings in the Amazon-Future case and also stayed a single judge’s order, dismissing Future’s Group’s plea seeking direction to the arbitration tribunal to take a decision on its application for terminating the arbitration proceedings before moving further.
