Rebel MLAs concerns noted but party discipline needs to be maintained: Rajasthan Congress
Rajasthan Congress MLAs have demanded action against Sachin Pilot and other rebel MLAs at the Congress' Legislature Party (CLP) meeting held yesterday. State Congress in-charge Avinash Pandey at the CLP meet sought to address the apprehensions and concerns of the Congress MLAs, sources said. Pandey reiterated that the Congress party workers must remain disciplined and should continue to follow the directives of the party high-command, several MLAs from the Congress told ANI on condition of anonymity.

Sensex up 300 points, Nifty above 11,300 mark
The key Indian equity indices traded on a positive note on Monday morning with the BSE Sensex gaining over 300 points. Healthy buying was witnessed in healthcare, capital goods, auto and banking stocks. Around 10.15 a.m., Sensex was trading at 38,344.31, higher by 303.74 points or 0.80 per cent from the previous close of 38,040.57. It opened at 38,168.42 and touched an intra-day high of 38,420.68 and a low of 38,163.71 points.
Will probe into security woman's question to Kanimozhi: CISF
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has said that it has ordered an inquiry into an incident wherein one of its female security personnel posted at the Chennai airport had questioned DMK MP Kanimozhi whether she was an Indian. In a tweet, the security force said: "The CISF has ordered an inquiry into the matter. It is not the policy of the CISF to insist upon any particular language." On Sunday, Kanimozhi had tweeted: "Today, at the airport, a CISF officer asked me if 'I am an Indian' when I asked her to speak to me in Tamil or English as I did not know Hindi. I would like to know from when being an Indian is equal to knowing Hindi."

Toshiba wraps up laptop business, sells remaining shares to Sharp
Japanese tech giant Toshiba, once well-known for its satellite range of laptops meant for heavy use, has finally decided to quit the laptop business. Toshiba has quietly sold its remaining 19.9 percent stake in its Dynabook laptop brand to Sharp, officially exiting the laptop business. The company earlier sold the 80.1 percent stake to Sharp in 2018. "Toshiba Corporation hereby announces that it has transferred the 19.9 per cent of the outstanding shares in Dynabook that it held to Sharp Corporation. As a result of this transfer, Dynabook has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sharp," the company said in a statement.
Paytm launches portable Android POS device for Rs 499 a month
Leading digital payment service Paytm on Monday launched an Android-based, pocked-sized point of sale (POS) device that is enabled with integrated billing software, camera for QR scanning and supports 4G SIM cards Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Available for an introductory monthly rental of Rs 499, the 'Paytm All-in-One Portable Android Smart POS' can accept orders and payments on the go. Aiming to invest Rs 100 crore on the distribution and marketing of these devices in the financial year 2021, Paytm said it will issue over two lakh devices within the next few months that are likely to generate over 20 million transactions per month.

A fire broke out in a three-storey commercial building in Ulhasnagar township of Maharashtra's Thane district, a fire official said on Monday. No casualty was reported, he said. The blaze erupted around 10.30 pm on Sunday in the office of a printing services company on the ground floor of the building in Press Bazar locality and spread to its upper floors, the official said.
