Petrol, diesel price continues to remain unchanged after duty cuts

After big cuts in petrol and diesel prices following the Centre and states reducing taxes, fuel prices have remained unchanged providing further relief to consumers.
 
Accordingly, petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged for the fourth consecutive day on Monday under the daily price revision mechanism followed by oil marketing companies.
 
So, the pump price of petrol in Delhi, which fell to Rs 103.97 a litre at 6 a.m. on Thursday from previous days level of Rs 110.04 a litre, remains at the same level on Monday. The diesel prices also remained unchanged in the capital at Rs 86.67 a litre. Read on...

Olympian badminton player PV Sindhu awarded Padma Bhushan

Karnataka to stop milk supply to AP as dues mount to Rs 130 cr

The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has expressed its inability to supply milk to Anganwadis in Andhra Pradesh unless the latter immediately cleared the Rs 130 crore payment due and also increased the price by Rs 5 a litre.
 
The milk supply from Karnataka, if stalled, could deprive over 20 lakh children under the age of six of nutritious food as part of the Sampoorna Poshana scheme.
 
The AP government has been procuring 110 lakh litres of ultra-high temperature milk every month from KMF under the brand Nandini.

Heavy rain in TN: NDRF deploys 5 teams

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deputed five rescue teams in Tamil Nadu in wake of the heavy rain inundating several areas.
 
According to the officials, two teams have been deputed in Madurai district, one each in Chennai, Chengalpattu and Thiruvallur districts and additional teams have been put on alert in case needed.
 
All NDRF teams stationed at five various locations are self-contained and equipped with flood rescue equipment, collapsed structures, search and rescue equipment including Jemini boats, communication system and PPE kits, the officials added.

Vistara starts non-stop flight services to Paris from Delhi

Full service carrier Vistara has commenced non-stop flight services to Paris from Delhi under the air bubble agreement between India and Europe.
 
The airline operated its inaugural direct flight to Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Sunday, a company release said on Monday.
 
Under the pact, Vistara will fly twice a week between the two cities - on Wednesday and Sunday -- with Boeing 787-9 (Dreamliner) aircraft, it said.

The 19th Central Committee of the CPC started its sixth plenary session. About 400 full and alternate members of the CPC Central Committee are taking part in the plenum, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

India's cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage exceeds 108.47 cr

India's cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 108.47 crores, informed the Ministry Of Health And Family Welfare on Monday.
 
As per provisional reports, till 7 am today, 1,08,47,23,042 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far. This has been achieved through a total of 1,09,98,126 sessions.
 
More than 23 lakh (23,84,096) vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
