HC to hear on Dec 13 plea against Delhi govt's complete ban on sale, use of firecrackers

The Delhi High Court Thursday said it will hear in December a plea against complete ban on sale, storage and use of firecrackers in the national capital during Diwali.

A bench of Chief Justice D N Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh listed the matter for December 13 as the main counsel for the petitioner was not available today.

When the high court said a similar matter relating to ban on manufacturing and sale of firecrackers across the country to curb pollution was also pending before Supreme Court, the Delhi government's counsel said it was listed in the apex court Thursday itself.

Three-day All India Executive Committee meet of RSS begins at Dharwad

The All India Executive Committee of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) started its three-day brainstorming meeting at the Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra here where a resolution on the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh will be passed, a top RSS leader said.

Amid the chants of Vedic hymns, the session began here. More than 350 people from across the country including Sar Sangh Chalak (RSS chief) Mohan Bhagwat and Sar Karyavah (RSS general secretary) Dattatreya Hosabale are attending this annual event.

Samsung to expand premium foldable smartphone, affordable 5G lineup

Despite component supply constraints across the industry, Samsung said on Thursday that it will further expand premium smartphone sales with Galaxy Z Flip3 Bespoke Edition while continuing sales momentum of the Galaxy S series.
