Indian authorities on Monday evacuated another 75 Sikhs amid the deteriorating situation in war-torn Afghanistan.

Kamala Harris pledges open South China Sea, says US focus on Afghan crisis
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris said on Monday during a visit to Singapore that the United States was focusing on evacuation efforts taking place in Afghanistan and that there would be plenty of time to analyse the context of the troop withdrawal.
Harris met with Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and President Halimah Yacob during a trip aimed at bolstering ties with partners in the region as part of Washington's efforts to counter China's growing economic and security influence.
"There is going to be plenty of time to analyse what has happened and what has taken place in the context of the withdrawal from Afghanistan," Harris said during a joint news conference with Singapore's prime minister. Read on...

1 Afghan force member killed, 3 injured in gunfight at Kabul airport
A firefight broke out at the Kabul airport on Monday between unidentified gunmen, Afghan guards and foreign forces, said the German armed forces.
One Afghan security force member and three other suffered injuries in the battle, in which American and German forces were also involved, Sputnik reported citing German armed forces.
The incident took place at the North Gate of Hamid Karzai International Airport. However, the identities of the assailants are still unknown.
Countries including the US and India have been urgently evacuating their citizens from the war-torn nation.
