Curtains to come down on Bharat Jodo Yatra with flag unfurling, rally

The curtains will come down on the Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra on Monday with a ceremony at the party headquarters here and a rally at the Sher-e-Kashmir stadium where several Opposition leaders are also likely to be present.
 
The "padyatra" concluded at the Lal Chowk area on Sunday with Rahul Gandhi unfurling the national flag but the official closing would take place on Monday in Srinagar, which is witnessing snowfall.
 
The yatra traversed 12 states and two Union territories in nearly five months after its launch on September 7 last year, clocking over 4,000 km.

G20: Two-day Science-20 Inception Meeting set to get underway in Puducherry today

The Science-20 (S20) Inception Meeting, which is being held as part of India's year-long G20 presidency, will begin in Puducherry on Monday with Indian National Science Academy (INSA) President Dr Ashutosh Sharma as the country's chair of the deliberations, an official release said.
 
Indonesia and Brazil are the Troika members along with India, the host nation. The two-day meeting to be held on Monday and Tuesday will focus on scientific and technology aspects that would help the growth of nations. The theme of the meeting is "disruptive science for innovative and sustainable development".
 
Fifteen foreign delegates from 11 G20 countries -- Australia, Brazil, China, European Union, France, India, Republic of Korea, Turkey, Russia, United Kingdom and United States of America -- are participating in the meeting, the release said.

Ahmedabad-bound Vistara flight diverted to Udaipur due to low visibility

An Ahmedabad-bound Vistara flight from Delhi was diverted to Rajasthan's Udaipur due to low visibility, officials said on Monday.
 
The flight is now scheduled to arrive in Udaipur at around 9.10 am, informed Vistara.
 
"Flight UK959 from Delhi to Ahmedabad (DEL-AMD) has been diverted to Udaipur due to low visibility at Ahmedabad Airport and is expected to arrive in Udaipur at 9:10 am," Vistara said.

4.2 magnitude earthquake jolts Kutch in Gujarat; no casualty

An earthquake of 4.2 magnitude hit Gujarat's Kutch district on Monday morning, the Institute of Seismological Research says. There is no report of any loss of life or damage to property.

The earthquake struck at 6.38 am with its epicentre 11 km north-north east of Dudhai village, the Gandhinagar-based ISR said in an update on its website.

It was preceded by a tremor of 3.2 magnitude reported at 5.18 am with its epicentre 23 km east-southeast of Khavda village in the district, the ISR said.

Trinamool Congress releases first list of candidates for Tripura polls

All India Trinamool Congress has released the first list of candidates ahead of the Tripura Assembly elections.

The first list of candidates released on Sunday comprises 22 names. These include Nihar Ranjan Sarkar, who has been given party tickect from Bamutia (SC) seat; Pujan Biswas from Ramnagar Nirmal Majumdar from Majlishpur; Sutapa Ghosh from Kamalasagar; Haradhan Debnath from Bishalgarh; and Joydal Hossain from Boxanagar.

The Trinamool Congress led by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced that it will contest all the 60 seats of the Tripura Assembly.
