Former US president Donald Trump again hints at running for office in 2024

Former US President Donald Trump has again dropped another hint that he would "very, very, very probably" be running for office in the 2024 presidential election.

He made the remark while addressing a Republican campaign rally in Sioux City, Iowa on Thursday for the November 8 midterm elections, the BBC reported.

"I ran twice, I won twice, and did much better the second time than I did the first, getting millions more votes in 2020 than I got in 2016. And likewise, getting more votes than any sitting President in the history of our country by far.

Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan blames govt, spy agency for shooting

Former Pakistan leader Imran Khan has blamed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanuallah and a top general from the intelligence agency for the attack on his rally in eastern Punjab province. 
 
Khan was shot in the leg at the gathering on Thursday and his supporters have called it an assassination attempt. He is in a stable condition. 

Sharif’s government has rejected the allegations. It has condemned the incident and called for an investigation.

Canadian govt warns that the country might enter mild recession in 2023

The Canadian government has released its 2022 Fall Economic Statement, warning that the country is likely to enter a mild recession in the first quarter of 2023.

The Department of Finance has developed a "downside scenario" that considers the impact of more persistent inflationary pressures and further tightening in monetary policy, leading to a "hard landing" in the economy, Xinhua news agency reported, citing the statement.

In the downside scenario, CPI inflation stays above 3 percent until the first quarter of 2024, about six months longer than in the September 2022 survey, before reaching 2 per cent by the end of 2024.

AQI continues to remain 'severe', forecast says 'stubble burning' contributed major share

With Air Quality in the national capital continuing to remain in the 'severe' category for consecutive two days, the SAFAR (System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research) Friday reveals that the stubble-burning contributed 34 per cent in Delhi's PM 2.5 pollution.

The air quality in Delhi continued to remain in the 'severe' category on Friday morning as the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of the city jumped to 472. Noida, which is part of the national capital region, recorded an AQI of 562, and continued to remain in the 'severe' category, while Gurugram's AQI stood at 539 and continued to remain in the 'severe', as per data released by SAFAR (System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research) India.

11 die in bus accident in Madhya Pradesh's Betul district

In an unfortunate incident, as many as 11 people have reportedly died in a bus accident in Madhya Pradesh's Betul district.

A bus and a car collided near Jhallar Police Station, according to Superintendent of Betul Simala Prasad, as told to ANI over the phone. One injured is being taken for treatment to the nearest health facilities.

UN chief Antonio Guterres warns planet is heading toward 'climate chaos'

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned Thursday that the planet is heading toward irreversible climate chaos and urged global leaders at the upcoming climate summit in Egypt to put the world back on track to cut emissions, keep promises on climate financing and help developing countries speed their transition to renewable energy.
 
The UN chief said the 27th annual Conference of the 198 Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change better known as COP27 must be the place to rebuild trust and re-establish the ambition needed to avoid driving our planet over the climate cliff.
