SC reserves verdict on Centre-Delhi government row over control of services

Joshimath land subsidence: 849 houses develops cracks, 4 of 9 wards declared 'unsafe'

Till now, cracks have appeared in nearly 849 houses with four of the nine wards in the city being declared "unsafe", according to officials.

PM Modi to lay foundation stone, inaugurate projects worth over Rs 10,800 cr in Karnataka today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in poll bound Karnataka's northern districts of Yadgiri and Kalaburagi on Thursday to lay foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth more than Rs 10,800 crores.

This will be the second such visit by the Prime Minister to Karnataka this month. He was in Hubballi on January 12 to inaugurate the National Youth Festival, during which he had held a massive road show.

Dharavi revamp figures in Davos, CM Shinde says it's 'eco-friendly development'

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said that although Mumbai has the biggest natural forest, it is also home to the world's largest slum, the Dharavi, literally meaning 'quicksand', in the south-central part.

"In order to make Mumbai slum-free, we are implementing the largest public-private-partnership (PPP) real estate programme of slum redevelopment. We are providing free homes of 300 sq.feet to each slum-dweller," informed Shinde.

India logs 128 new Covid infections, active cases decline to 1,998

India logged 128 new coronavirus infections, while the active cases declined to 1,998, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Wednesday.

The death toll stands at 5,30,728, with one each reported from Karnataka and Maharashtra, the data updated at 8 am stated.

The daily positivity was recorded at 0.07 per cent while the weekly positivity was pegged at 0.09 per cent.
