Listed entities get 3 years to meet criteria of minimum 25% public shareholding
The government has notified changes in the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Rules, 1957, providing more time to listed entities to meet criteria of minimum public shareholding of 25 per cent.
"In the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Rules, 1957, in rule 19A, in sub-rule (1), in the proviso, for the words 'two years' the words 'three years' shall be substituted," said a government notification dated July 31.
The changes have come into force from the date of their publication in the official gazette, it said.
BJP announces fresh executive committee for Rajasthan
The BJP on Saturday announced its new executive committee for Rajasthan, including eight vice-presidents and four general secretaries.
State BJP president Satish Poonia said the party has taken care of social factors besides the combination of young and experienced faces in the new executive committee.
MP CP Joshi, MLA Chandrakanta Meghwal, Alka Gurjar (former MLA), Ajaypal Singh, Hemraj Meena, Prasan Mehta, Mukesh Dadhich and Madhoram Chaudhary were appointed as the party's vice-presidents in the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi should stop the 'tamasha' (spectacle) going on in the state, said Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday.
While talking to reporters here, Gehlot alleged that the "rate for horse-trading has increased".
"As a Prime Minister of the country, Modi ji should stop the 'tamasha' going on in Rajasthan. The rate for horse-trading has increased here. As soon as the assembly session was announced, they have increased the rates further. What 'tamasha' is this?" Gehlot said.
Govt to bring helmets under mandatory BIS regime
The government has initiated a process to bring helmets under mandatory BIS regime as part of efforts to reduce fatal injuries involving two-wheelers, the Road Transport and Highways Ministry said on Saturday.
Once the process is completed only BIS-certified helmets for two-wheeler riders would be manufactured and sold in India.
"Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has issued a draft notification for bringing Protective Helmets for two wheelers rider under compulsory certification as per Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016," the MoRTH said in a statement.
