Animated videos for online classes launched in Punjab
The Punjab government on Friday launched a new campaign under 'Mission Fateh', to provide online education through animated videos to students during the Covid-19 pandemic.
A press release issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations stated that the aim of the new campaign was to entertain the students as well as draw their attention to the study and prevent them from getting bored.
"These animation videos are being prepared by the teachers, with the largest contribution being from the IT teachers. These videos not only entertain the children but also keep them connected with the subject. Students and teachers have highly praised this new initiative," a spokesperson said.

Joe Biden warns Russia, China attempting to undermine US Prez election
Joe Biden said Friday night that he's begun receiving intelligence briefings as he warned that Russia, China and other adversaries were attempting to undermine the upcoming US election in November.
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee wasn't specific and offered no evidence while addressing a virtual fundraiser with more than 200 attendees.

Amid virus, Nicaragua drops celebration, readies monument
President Daniel Ortega's government is being deterred by the coronarvirus from holding the usual mass celebration to mark the July 19 victory of Nicaragua's revolution.
Instead, it will unveil a new addition to its collection of monuments in the old city center of Managua.
The 3-ton Peace Bell will toll atop a 55-foot (17 meter) concrete tower not far from a grove of Trees of Life, the huge abstract steel trees painted in garish colours that were sowed about the capital by Vice President Rosario Murillo, wife of the former revolutionary leader Ortega.
Flower gardens and benches will surround the tower.

Sanjay Jain arrested in connection with conspiracy to topple Rajasthan govt
The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police on Friday arrested Sanjay Jain whose name had surfaced in a viral audio recording about horse trading of legislators to topple the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan, an official said.
“Jain has been arrested following interrogation into the FIR lodged on the basis of audio recording that had gone viral on social media,” Additional Director General (ATS and SOG) Ashok Rathore said.
Jain was interrogated Thursday and Friday following which the arrest has been made, officials said.
