4:53 PM6 'cybercriminals' arrested in Jharkhand's Jamtara
Six alleged cybercriminals have been arrested in Jharkhand's phishing hub Jamtara district, police said on Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, the cyber cell of the district police raided Kuruwa village in Karmatar police station area on Thursday night and arrested the six persons, two of whom have been jailed earlier, Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Sinha told PTI.
A total of 13 mobile phones, each fitted with a SIM card, three ATM cards, passbooks and two motorcycles have been seized, he said.

State-owned RailTel Corporation of India Ltdhas filed draft papers with capital markets regulator Sebi to raise Rs 700 crore through an initial share-sale.
The initial public offer (IPO) is entirely an offer-for-sale through which government will offload 8.66 crore equity shares, draft papers filed with Sebi showed. According to merchant banking sources, the IPO is estimated to fetch Rs 700 crore.
The miniratna PSU is one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country, owning an optical fibre network on exclusive Right of Way (RoW) along the railway track.

Mobile phone prices are expected to rise about 3 per cent as the government has imposed 10 per cent duty on the import of displays, industry body ICEA said on Friday.
The duty on display assembly and touch panel was proposed to be applied from October 1 under a phased manufacturing programme (PMP) announced in 2016 in consensus with the industry.
"There will be an impact on mobile phone prices between 1.5 and 3 per cent," industry body ICEA National Chairman Pankaj Mohindroo said in a statement.

The Army on Friday paid tributes to two soldiers who were killed in Pakistani firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. The Army paid a befitting tribute to Havildar Kuldeep Singh and Rifleman Shubam Sharma, who made the supreme sacrifice on Thursday in north Kashmir, an Army spokesman said.
The two soldiers were killed when Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along the LoC in Naugam sector of frontier Kupwara district on Thursday morning.
In a solemn ceremony at Badamibagh Cantonment here, Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen B S Raju and all ranks paid homage to the bravehearts on behalf of the proud nation, the spokesman said.

Inspired by the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi on his 151st birth anniversary, Google Arts & Culture launched "Be the Voices of Change via Postcards" online exhibition on Friday.
Organised in association with Kochi-based non-profit LetterFarms, the online exhibition aims to inspire people to be the change through messages written or painted on handcrafted postcards.
The postcards featured in this exhibition bear ideas of change by ordinary citizens, and were handpicked from the nationwide CHANGE150 community art project by LetterFarms.
The exhibition comprises a cluster of 10 exhibits each categorised on themes of national relevance such as Equality', Education', Nation', Governance', Health', Community Action', Women's Empowerment', Environment', Rights' and Humanity'.
3:23 PMExports rise 5.27% in Sep, trade deficit narrows to $2.91 bn
After contracting for six months in a row, the country's exports grew by 5.27 per cent year-on-year to USD 27.4 billion in September, while imports slipped by 19.6 per cent to USD 30.31 billion, according to the commerce ministry data released on Friday .
The trade deficit during the month under review narrowed to USD 2.91 billion as against USD 11.67 billion in the same period of 2019. The exports in September last year stood at USD 26.02 billion.
Exports during April-September this fiscal dipped by 21.43 per cent to USD 125.06 billion. Imports during the period stood at USD 148.69 billion, recording a negative growth of 40.06 per cent.

A delegation of Trinamool Congress (TMC) was roughed up by Uttar Pradesh Police at Hathras border. The delegation, including party MP Derek O'Brien, was on the way to meet the family of the victim of the Hathras incident. The voices in support of the Hathras victim family has intensified as administration here beefed up security at the entrance of the village and also issued section 144 restricting normalcy.
The protest started when four TMC members who have come here to meet the victim's family, were stopped at the barricade placed at the entrance of the village.
Derek said, "Our MPs (Pratima Mandal, Mamata Thakur, including Derek O' Brien) were been stopped, they were manhandled by the SDM and security here. We are not being allowed to go to the village by walking."

Honda will withdraw from Formula One at the end of the 2021 season, the Japanese engine manufacturer announced Friday, citing environmental initiatives.
Honda, which resumed competition in F1 in 2015, is the power unit supplier to Red Bull and AlphaTauri.
The company said it had attained its goals of earning victories last season and two wins in 2020.
In the meantime, as the automobile industry undergoes a once-in-one-hundred-years period of great transformation, Honda has decided to strive for the 'realization of carbon neutrality by 2050,' Honda said in a statement.

Tesla Inc chief executive Elon Musk indicated on Friday that the U.S. electric carmaker will make a foray into India in 2021.
"Next year for sure," Musk said on Twitter in reply to a post with a photograph of a T-shirt with the message: "India wants Tesla".
"Thanks for waiting," Musk said.
Tesla's entry could come at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is increasingly becoming focussed on promoting the use and manufacture of electric vehicles.

Spot gold rose 0.2% to $1,909.08 an ounce by 0810 GMT, reversing losses from early Asian trade to climb back above $1,900. U.S. gold futures eased 0.1% to $1,915.10.
Bullion has gained 2.6% this week, heading for its biggest weekly percentage rise since early August.
"It will now be a wait-and-see game where gold will attract some bids. It's certainly not a market where I see any appetite for selling gold," said Saxo Bank analyst Ole Hansen.

Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Friday condemned the behaviour of Uttar Pradesh police and the administration towards party leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, saying the Yogi Adityanath government was trying to "suppress the voice of opposition".
The two leaders were detained by UP police in Greater Noida on Thursday, when they insisted on marching to Hathras to meet the family of a Dalit gang-rape victim, whose death followed by a hurried cremation triggered nationwide outrage.
"Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the entire administration have left no stone unturned to suppress the voice of the opposition. The treatment given to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi yesterday was indecent. It is condemnable. Rights of humanity, constitution and law were torn apart," Pilot told reporters on Friday.

Uttarakhand government has issued the guidelines for 'Unlock 5' deciding to permit opening of cinema halls and theatres with up to 50 per cent of their seating capacity in areas outside the containment zones with effect from October 15.
Entertainment parks and similar places will also be permitted to open from October 15 for which the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by Union health ministry shall be strictly adhered to, the latest guidelines issued by the state government late on Thursday said.
The current ceiling of 100 people gathering for social, academic, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious and political functions can be removed outside containment zones after October15, it said.
