Air India panel to pick employees to be sent on leave without pay: Report
Air India has constituted a committee for "identification of redundant/surplus manpower resources" to be sent on leave without pay for up to five years. The Committee is to submit its report to the regional director's office by 11th August for review, according to ANI.
The national carrier's board has approved a scheme for sending employees on leave without pay for six months to two years. The period can be extended up to five years. It has authorised chairman Rajiv Bansal to send employees on the leave without pay. Read on...

Tamil Nadu cancels all college semester exams
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K.Palaniswami today ordered cancellation of semester exams and allowed the students to proceed to the next academic year.
In a statement, the Chief Minister said that based on the guidance of University Grants Commission and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) the students of under graduate, post graduate, engineering, computer science and vocational courses are exempted from exams for this semester alone.
