Rajasthan police seeks CCTV footage, guest list from Manesar hotel to trace MLA Bhanwarlal Sharma
In their search for Sachin Pilot-loyalist MLA Bhanwarlal Sharma, accused of attempting to topple the Congress government in Rajasthan, the police's Special Operation Group has sought CCTV footage and guest list from a Manesar hotel to trace him.
The SOG has registered an FIR against Bhanwarlal Sharma, Gajendra Singh and one Sanjay Jain on the basis of a complaint lodged by Congress Chief Whip Mahesh Joshi who had submitted audio clips as evidence of them plotting to bring down the government.

Premium, imported liquor can be sold in UP shopping malls from Aug 25: Officials
Premium, foreign and imported brands of liquor will be available in shopping malls from August 25, but there will be no permission to serve it inside the premises, officials said on Saturday.
Additional Chief Secretary, Excise, Sanjay Bhoosreddy said, "In view of the increasing trend of people purchasing various items from the shopping malls in the past few years, permission has been granted to sell costly foreign liquor in the shopping malls. Customers can buy imported foreign liquor, scotch manufactured in India, brandy, gin and all brands of wine from the shopping malls."
Bihar to disburse gratuitous relief of Rs 6,000 each to flood-hit families
The Bihar government will soon start disbursing gratuitous relief of Rs 6,000 each to flood- affected families in the state, a senior official said on Saturday.
The relief amount will be disbursed through direct benefit transfer (DBT) under the Public Financial Management System (PFMS), he said.
"The list of beneficiaries is ready and we will soon start disbursing Rs 6,000 each as gratuitous relief to flood- affected families," Principal Secretary of the Disaster Management Department, Pratyaya Amrit, told PTI.

Challenging the opposition to prove the alleged discrimination against Jammu, Singh said there is absolutely no evidence of it, particularly during the last one year following the historic Constitutional changes of August 5 and 6, 2019.
BJP delegation meets R'than governor, says Cong has created 'atmosphere of anarchy' in state
A delegation of the opposition BJP met Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra on Saturday and accused Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and the ruling Congress of creating an "atmosphere of anarchy" in the state.
Mentioning the chief minister's statement about people surrounding the Raj Bhawan over Mishra not summoning a session of the state assembly, the BJP said it was an attempt to "terrorise" the governor's office.
Gehlot and several Congress MLAs staged a sit-in at the Raj Bhawan here on Friday to press for an assembly session.

A day after leading a dharna at the Raj Bhawan here, Rajasthan Chief Minister on Saturday said if necessary Congress MLAs will meet the President and hold a sit-in outside the prime minister's home to settle the crisis in the state.
According to party sources, Gehlot said this while addressing a Congress Legislature Party meeting held at the hotel where MLAs loyal to him are holed up. He also told the MLAs that they may have to stay put there longer.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Goa on Saturday slammed the decision of the BJP-led coalition government to go in for a facelift of the state assembly complex at a cost of Rs 7 crore. It urged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to instead spend the money on setting up online education infrastructure for students.
In a statement Rahul Mahambre, spokesperson of the party's Goa unit, said that the money earmarked for the assembly facelift could instead be utilised to underwrite social welfare schemes for people who have lost their livelihood on account of the pandemic.
