Latest news LIVE updates: Govt bans 47 more Chinese mobile apps
The government has banned 47 more Chinese apps, taking the total number of mobile applications banned for being prejudicial to sovereignty, integrity and defence of the country, to 106, according to a source in PTI report. The source privy to the development said that the 47 additional Chinese apps that have been banned now were clones and variants of the apps which were blocked earlier.
An order to this effect was issued on Friday, the source said. The list of additional apps that have been banned was not immediately available, and there is no official word on the matter yet.
Earlier on June 29, the government had banned 59 Chinese apps, saying they were prejudicial to sovereignty, integrity and security of the country.

Rajasthan Congress MLAs hold prayer meet under 'Speak Up for Democracy' campaign
Rajasthan Congress legislators held a prayer meeting on Monday under the "save democracy, save Constitution" programme in the hotel where they are holed up.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, AICC general secretary Avinash Pande and other leaders participated in the meeting. The party was earlier scheduled to hold a protest outside the Raj Bhawan here, but it was called off Sunday.

Digvijaya Singh urges an Rajasthan Governor to call special session
Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Sunday urged Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra to accept the state cabinet's "constitutional" demand for convening a special session of the Legislative Assembly.
Releasing a video as part of the "Speak up for Democracy" campaign of the Congress, Singh said, "I request the governor to accept the constitutional demand of the state government (in Rajasthan) to call the session. The governor has also taken the oath in the name of constitution".
Singh said the Congress was opposing conspiracies of the BJP, which he alleged was "trying to buy a popular mandate".
