Yamuna water level swells further after rains; borders warning mark in Delhi
The water level of theYamunain Delhi rose to 204.41 metres on Friday, precariously close to the warning mark of 204.50 metres following heavy rains, officials said.
The water level rose because of rains in Delhi and neighbouring areas, he said.
"The water level was recorded at 204.41 metres at the Old Railway Bridge at 5 pm. It was 204.30 metres at 9 am on Friday morning and 203.77 metres at 10 am on Thursday," an official of the Irrigation andFloodControl department said.
Sushant death: ED summons Goa businessman; NCB gathers details
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned a Goa-based businessman in connection with its money laundering probe linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, officials said on Friday.
They said Gaurav Arya, who runs a hotel in the coastal state, has been asked to depose before the central probe agency at its office in the Ballard Estate area of Mumbai on August 31.
The summons was stuck at his property in Goa as the agency was not able to get in touch with him, they said.
Sebi slaps Rs 70 lakh penalty on 14 individuals for fraudulent trading activities
Markets regulator Sebi has imposed a total fine of Rs 70 lakh on 14 individuals for indulging in fraudulent trading activities in the shares of Vani Commercials Ltd more than three years ago.
The 14 individuals were found to have carried out circular and sychronised trades among themselves in the company's shares and created artificial volumes.
The regulator carried out an investigation into the scrip of Vani Commercials for the May 26, 2017 to October 30, 2017 period.

The Congress and its youth wing on Friday staged protests at many places in Haryana, Punjab and their joint capital Chandigarh against the holding of JEE and NEET amid the COVID-pandemic.
Various opposition parties, including the Congress, have demanded that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) be deferred due to the COVID-19 pandemic and floods in parts of the country, even as the Union government has made it clear that they will be held as per schedule with due precautions.
In Haryana, Congress leaders and workers held protests at many places including Karnal, Kaithal, Bhiwani and Sirsa.

Yogi Adityanath says UP govt in favour of holding NEET, JEE
The Uttar Pradesh government is in favour of holding the NEET and JEE, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Friday.
The statement comes following opposition parties including the Samajwadi Party and Congress demanding that the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for medical colleges and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for engineering colleges be deferred due to COVID-19 pandemic.
