Assembly polls: Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh to campaign in Goa today

Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) star campaigners for Goa Assembly polls, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, will visit the state on Wednesday, and hold a series of public rallies and door-to-door meetings across various constituencies in North and South Goa.
 
As per a press release issued by the BJP, Shah's day-long engagements start with the door-to-door campaign at Mayem Assembly Constituency at 3.30 pm followed by a door-to-door campaign at Bicholim Assembly Constituency at 4.25 pm. He will campaign for BJP candidates Premendra Shet and Rajesh Patnekar in their respective two constituencies. Read on...

Delhi govt says entire pension disbursement process to go online

People would not be made to run from pillar to post to get their hard-earned pension as the Delhi government will be taking the online route for the department's pension disbursement, according to an official statement.
 
"Earlier, this payment could not be made digital due to technical reasons, but the Social Welfare Department held several meetings with the central government, and found its solution. Now there will be no hindrance or delay in pension cases," Delhi Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam said on Tuesday.
 
The first digital payment was made under the programme on the day, he said.
