Rishi Sunak admits to attending Downing Street lockdown party

British Chancellor of Exchequer Rishi Sunak has reportedly admitted to attending Prime Minister Boris Johnson's lockdown birthday party in 2020 but refused to say what happened when he entered the room, PTI reported. Johnson's five aides resigned within hours of each other on Thursday, after a investigation revealed that multiple parties took place at Downing Street while the country was living under strict Covid lockdown rules.

Union ministers visit ailing Lata Mangeskar

Transport minister Nitin Gadkari will this morning visit singer Lata Mangeshkar who is on ventilator support at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, ANI reported. Mangeshkar recovered from Covid-19 and pneumonia in January at the hospital, but her condition worsened on Saturday. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal visited Mangeshkar, 92, on Saturday.

Bank of Baroda Q3 net profit doubles to Rs 2,197 cr

Bank of Baroda's net profit doubled to Rs 2,197 crore in the October-December quarter (Q3FY22), aided by higher net interest income and lower provisions. The state-owned lender had posted a net profit of Rs 1,061 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
