The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Monday launched a campaign to drive an inclusive circular economy as part of its initiative to promote sustainability.
 
The initiative focuses on end-to-end management of plastic waste by promoting the segregation of waste at source, collection of the segregated waste, and setting up Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) for recycling all kinds of plastic waste along the value chain, UNDP said in a statement.

The Congress on Monday distanced itself from party leader Digvijaya Singh's remarks questioning the 2019 surgical strikes, saying the views do not reflect the position of the party which supports all military actions that are in national interest.
 
"The views expressed by senior leader Digvijaya Singh are his own and do not reflect the position of Congress. Surgical strikes were carried out before 2014 by UPA government. Congress has supported and will continue to support all military actions that are in the national interest," AICC general secretary, communications, Jairam Ramesh said on Twitter.

Without disclosing the exact profit figure in the December quarter, the airline also said it crossed the USD 1 billion revenue mark and remained EBITDA positive in the current fiscal year.
