	Delhi recorded 11 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, with a case positivity rate of 0.31 per cent, stated a bulletin issued by the Delhi Health Department on Sunday. With the fresh infections, the active cases in the city stand at 42. According to the bulletin, 8 Covid patients recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 1,980,670. However, with no death from Covid reported over the last 24 hours, the overall toll in the national capital remained at 26,521.</div>

	Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the ruling BJP in Karnataka will go solo in next year&#39;s assembly elections. Addressing a convention of BJP booth presidents, Shah urged party workers to ensure victory for the saffron party. &quot;It is a direct contest. JD(S) and Congress are two sides of the same coin. Voting for JD(S) is as good as voting for the Congress in Karnataka,&quot; Shah said. Kim&#39;s statement at a key ruling party meeting was released hours after North Korea fired a ballistic missile toward its eastern waters, entering 2023 with another weapons test following a record number of missile firings last year. KCNA cited Kim as saying North Korea is compelled to boost the production exponentially to mass-produce tactical nuclear weapons.</p>

Drugs worth Rs 1 cr seized from Navi Mumbai house, 16 Nigerians held

	Police have seized drugs worth more than Rs 1 crore from a house in Maharashtra&#39;s Navi Mumbai town and arrested 16 Nigerian nationals, an official said.</p>
<p>
	The house was raided on information that some Africans were stocking drugs for supply at New Year events, Navi Mumbai Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Amit Kale told <em>PTI</em>. &quot;The seized stock comprises ganja, charas, heroin and methaqualone worth Rs 1,00,70,000. Sixteen Nigerians, including six women, have been held,&quot; the official said.</p>

Pak Army says killed 4 terrorists in restive North Waziristan

	Pakistani security forces gunned down four terrorists during a military operation in the country&#39;s restive northwestern region. The military operation was conducted in Janikhel area of Bannu district bordering North Waziristan.<br />

	&quot;The terrorists challenged the security forces during the search operation which led to lethal firing between the forces and the terrorists. Resultantly four terrorists were mowed down,&quot; ISPR, the media wing of the Pakistani Army, said in a statement.</p>

Prayer meet in memory of PM Modi's mother to be held in Gujarat's Vadnagar today

	Heeraben Modi, 100, passed away on Friday at UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre in Ahmedabad, according to a bulletin from the hospital. She was hospitalised on Wednesday after her health deteriorated.</div>
