Amazon adds 5 pc 'fuel and inflation surcharge' to seller fees
Amazon is taking a step to offset its rising costs, announcing it will add a 5% fuel and inflation surcharge to fees it charges third-party sellers who use the e-commerce giant's fulfillment services.
The Seattle-based company said on its website that the added fees, which take effect April 28, are subject to change and will apply to both apparel and non-apparel items.
The latest fee hike follows one announced in November and went into effect in January. Amazon didn't immediately respond to a request for further details on the recent move.

The grand old party is all set to call a Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting ahead of the 'Chintan Shivir' to chalk out the party's future strategy.
In the last CWC meeting, it was decided by the party to call a 'Chintan Shivir' to formulate a strategy for the course correction to reverse the trend of electoral defeats after the party's abysmal performance in the recently held Assembly polls in five states.
The party is now in power in only two states of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and is part of the ruling coalition in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.

Ailing Sri Lanka's health to be saved by India's credit line
Suffered by economic crisis with inflation and dried foreign reserves, Sri Lanka's ailing healthcare with major shortage of some of the most essential and life-savings drugs, India has once again come to the rescue of the island nation.
The Sri Lankan government has admitted that orders on medicines and equipment could not be placed as it failed to open Letter of Credit (LoC) due to the financial crisis.
"As a solution to the current crisis, firstly LoCs to obtain medicines and medicinal equipment, could be opened using India's credit line," Director General of the Department of Government Information, Mohan Samaranayake, said.

Presidents from countries on Russia's doorstep visit Ukraine
The presidents of four countries on Russia's doorstep visited Ukraine and underscored their support for the embattled country, where they saw heavily damaged buildings and demanded accountability for what they called war crimes carried out by Russian forces.
The visit by the presidents of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia was a strong show of solidarity by the leaders of the countries on NATO's eastern flank, three of them like Ukraine once part of the Soviet Union.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan has questioned the judiciary to explain the motive behind opening its doors at midnight on Saturday, hours before his ouster as the prime minister via a successful no-confidence motion against him in the National Assembly.
The no-trust vote took place after a high political drama in the National Assembly with the Supreme Court overturning the decision of the Deputy Speaker to reject the opposition sponsored no-confidence motion against the ruling PTI-led coalition.
