In connection with the veteran actor Satish Kaushik's death, the owner of the farmhouse Vikas Balu's second wife has levelled serious accusations against her husband, claiming his role in the death of the actor.
Vikas Malu's second wife has also complained to the police in the matter, after which the Delhi Police has initiated an inquiry into the allegations.
Kerala govt to install air quality monitoring devices at select hospitals in Kochi
The Kerala government has decided to install air quality monitoring devices in select hospitals of the coastal city, which is reeling under toxic haze from the fire at the Brahmapuram waste treatment plant.
State Health Minister Veena George said installing the air quality monitoring devices will help identify the possibility of people getting sick due to the worsening air quality.
4.3 magnitude earthquake hits Afghanistan: National Center for Seismology
An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 hit Afghanistan on Sunday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
"Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.3, Occurred on 12-03-2023, 05:11:37 IST, Lat: 36.02 & Long: 70.58, Depth: 201 Km," NCS tweeted on Sunday.
The quake struck at a depth of 201 kilometres, at a latitude of 36.02 and a longitude of 70.58.
4.6 magnitude earthquake hits Guatemala's Iztapa
An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 on the Richter scale struck Iztapa, Guatemala on Sunday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
Guatemala is a country in Central America.
The earthquake occurred at 04:39:11 (UTC+05:30) and hit Iztapa, Guatemala on Sunday, at a depth of 75.9 km, the USGS informed.
Single-day rise of 524 Covid cases in India: Union Health Ministry data
India logged 524 new coronavirus cases after a gap of 113 days, while the active cases rose to 3,618, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday.
The death toll has increased to 5,30,781 with one death reconciled by Kerala, the data updated at 8 am stated.
The Covid case tally was recorded at 4.46 crore (4,46,90,492).
NIA carries out searches in Madhya Pradesh's Seoni, 2 detained; electronic devices seized
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and local police have detained two persons for questioning after carrying out searches in Seoni in Madhya Pradesh, during which some objectionable material and electronic devices were allegedly seized, a police official said on Sunday.
The searches were carried out on the premises of three persons on Saturday, after which two persons were taken to Jabalpur for interrogation, Seoni Superintendent of Police Ramji Shrivastava said.

The rupture in a fuel pipeline in Shil area of Maharashtra's Thane district post a fire that had claimed the life of one person has been repaired after 48 hours, a civic official said on Sunday.
The 18-inch line, from Mumbai to Manmad in Nashik district, which started leaking after fire in an underground cable and subsequent explosion, was restored by at least half a dozen agencies working together, Regional Disaster Management Cell chief Avinash Sawant said.

93 hospitals in UP to get NQAS certification: Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak
As many as 93 hospitals in Uttar Pradesh have been awarded the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certificate.
Among them are 46 district hospitals, and this number is highest among all states.
Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak, who holds the health portfolio, said, "Health services in Uttar Pradesh have improved and the NQAS certificate to 93 government health facilities, including 46 district level hospitals, proves this. It is the result of overall effort by all."

UK to pay France $576 mn over next 3 years to combat illegal immigration
To deal with waves of illegal migrants crossing its borders from Europe and arriving in boats across the English Channel, the UK on Friday (local time) said that it would pay USD 576 million over the next three years as part of a deal with France to combat illegal immigration, reported CNN.
The deal was announced during a joint summit between British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Friday.
The money will finance a new detention center for migrants in France and the deployment of 500 French security and support agents "to enable the fastest detection of attempted crossings" by small boats, a joint statement from the two countries said, reported CNN.
Misusing constitutional bodies: BRS MP to BJP after ED questioned K Kavitha
Hours after K kavitha was questioned by ED in Delhi Liquor case, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MP BV Netha hit out at Prime Minister Modi and accused him of attempting to capture power by "misusing constitutional bodies" in the country.
Speaking to media, Netha said that the only aim of BJP under Modi govt is to capture power by misusing constitutional bodies.
"We will not be sacred, she (K Kavitha) is the daughter of a fighter. We are ready to face a legal battle. we'll highlight how Modi is trangresing on constitution and take them to public," BRS MP said.
