Patil, who had taken the initiative to ban dance bars in 2005, said the government was yet to get a copy of the apex court order.
In the meantime, the state government is expected to set up a team comprising lawyers, senior legislators and officials to look into the Supreme Court order and decide the way forward.
"The government will also explore option of filing a review petition in the apex court and amend the existing law to enable government to ban dance bars in the state. The decision on filing a review petition will be taken before the conclusion of ongoing monsoon session of the Maharashtra Legislature,"he added.
