Much to the joy of Indian fans of Sherlock (BBC) and sci-fi show Doctor Who, the co-writer of these shows Mark Gatiss is set to visit India to attend the Mumbai Film and Comic Con 2014 in Mumbai.
After IIT Bombay Mood Indigo’s fiasco with the false announcement of Christopher Nolan attending the event, fans were rather skeptic following the announcement. However Comic Con India was quick to release a press statement informing fans of Gatiss'visit.
"Comic Con India is thrilled to announce that Mark Gatiss, Actor, Co-Creator and Executive Producer, Sherlock (BBC) will be attending Mumbai Film and Comic Con 2014. This is for the first time ever that Comic Con India is bringing in an International Actor as a Special Guest. The convention will take place at Bombay Exhibition Centre from December 19-21’ 2014 between 11 a.m. to 9 p.m, “ the press release said.
Confirming the news was the man himself, who took to the official Facebook page of the hit show Sherlock to make the announcement. “Stage Two of World Domination complete! I’m thrilled to be coming to India, a country I’ve always wanted to visit, and I can’t wait to meet all the Doctor Who and Sherlock fans in Mumbai, ” Gatiss said while addressing his fans.
