India now has the fastest growing number of COVID-19 cases, at over 75,000 cases a day. Overall, the country has had over 5 million cases and about 82,000 deaths. Cases are spreading out into the country as opposed to the original epicentres which were cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. Despite all of this, there has been limited epidemiological research in this subject from this country.
