Meghalaya's conglomeration of NGOs under the banner of Co-ordination Committee on International Border (CCIB) on Thursday asked Centre to keep on hold the tabling of the 'land swap deal' in Parliament's current budget session and demanded fresh survey along the borders with neighbouring Bangladesh. Centre has proposed to table the deal following a Protocol Agreement over Land Swap Deal was signed by Prime Minister of India and counterpart Bangladesh in Dhaka on September 6, 2011.

"We demand the government to keep on hold the tabling of the proposed deal till the fresh survey is conducted," CCIB said in its petition to External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid.
