Two men, who along with six others had allegedly gangraped a 13-year-old girl from Farsh Bazar here, were today remanded in judicial custody till May 4 by a Delhi court.

Metropolitan Magistrate Muneesh Garg remanded the two accused in judicial custody after they were produced before him following their arrest. The two were arrested by the Delhi Police yesterday.

Despite repeated calls to police officers, they refused to disclose the names of the two accused.

The court had earlier sent four other accused Sohan Lal 24, Deepak 21, Ranjit 20, and Sachin to judicial custody till May 4 after they were produced in the court following their arrest on April 20.

According to the complaint, the victim was kidnapped from near her house in Farsh Bazar in East Delhi by eight people, including one person whom she addresses as "uncle", on March 16 and taken to Loni in Ghaziabad.

The accused had also kidnapped her brother who was later released while she was kept confined by the accused for several days, the police said adding the girl had managed to escape from their custody from Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh and reached her home on March 24.

The victim had on April 20 attempted suicide at her home after consuming sleeping pills and was taken to Hedgewar Hospital here where she has been admitted in the ICU.

Police had swung into action on the orders of the Karkardooma court which the family had approached April 9 after police reportedly took no action on their complaint.

The girl's mother had alleged that the police had not followed seriously the leads provided by the victim's brother about the accused and when they had gone to the police station along with her, they discouraged the family from pursuing the case further and told them to get her married.
