The Bharatiya Janata party state unit president and Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Party vice-president Prabhat Jha came forward and defended Chouhan to dismiss allegations made by Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee.

While Mishra who had made allegations that Chouhan's wife and other family members, today said he was sticking to his claims. "I will prove in the court. If he is true (chief minister) why did he not file the defamation case and asked the state government machinery to file the case."
