Naxals killed two tribal brothers, whom they had kidnapped from Andhra Pradesh last week, after branding them as 'police informers' in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district, police said today.

The incident occurred last night when ultras held a 'jan adalat' (people's court) at Durma village under Konta police station limits, where they brutally murdered Kunja Brahmaiah and Kunja Seetaramaiah, Sukma ASP (anti-naxal operations) Santosh Singh told PTI.

He said bodies of the victims were recovered from jungles of Banda village in the same region. As per the preliminary investigation, the brothers were abducted on May 1 from Burakanakota village, located on the border of Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Singh said it appears that ultras slit the throat of the victims. However, the exact cause behind their death could be ascertained only after postmortem.
