New Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral R Hari Kumar made clear his full support of government initiatives when he told journalists on Friday that creating the institution of chief of defence staff (CDS) and a Department of Military Affairs (DMA) was “the most important higher defence organisational reform that has happened in our country since Independence”.
