3,000-9,000 citizens buried in Mariupol mass grave: Authorities
Ukrainian authorities said that between 3,000 to 9,000 citizens of Mariupol may have been buried in a mass grave in Manhush, a village occupied by Russian troops and located less than 20 km away from the strategic port city. Citing satellite images by Maxar Technologies, which collects and publishes satellite imagery of Ukraine, the Mariupol City Council said in a social media post on Thursday night that the "size of the mass grave in Manhush is 20 times that of the one in Bucha", Ukrayinska Pravda reported.

India reports 2,451 new coronavirus cases, 54 fatalities in a day
With 2,451 new coronavirus infections being reported in a day, India's total tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 4,30,52,425, while the active cases increased to 14,241, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday.
The death toll climbed to 5,22,116 with 54 fresh fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated.
The active cases comprise 0.03 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded as 98.75 per cent, the ministry said.
An increase of 808 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.

Bharat Biotech asked to provide more data on Covaxin for below 12-year-olds
The Subject Expert Committee of the Drug Controller General of India has asked Bharat Biotech for additional data on its Covid-19 vaccine, Covaxin, for administering it to children aged between 2-12 years, sources said. This development comes after the Subject Expert Committee discussed recommendations for the restricted emergency of Covaxin in children aged between 2-12 years. No recommendations have been made as of now, sources told ANI.

Section 144 imposed in K'taka Hubli after stone-pelting at police station will continue till April 23
Section 144 has been imposed in Karnataka's Hubli city after a mob pelted stones at the old Hubli police station in which four policemen were injured on Saturday night, the curfew will continue till April 23, the police said. As many as 12 cases were registered in connection with the law and order situation in which 134 arrests have been made.
Speaking to ANI, Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner Labhu Ram said, "The main case was registered in connection with April 16 night (stone-pelting) incident, while in connection with law and order situation, we have registered 12 cases in which 134 arrests have been made. Section 144 to continue till Saturday morning in South Sub-Division 5 PS limit."
